Notices of Week of 19 August 2024
EASYFUNDRAISING
Earlier this year Barry Crompton (our treasurer) set up a trial with Easyfundraising. It has now been thoroughly tested. In August we received our first payment for £28.91 and there is a further £54.78 due from online transactions. These donations are from only one person. Imagine if everybody who buys online registered!!
It is really easy to do. The process is:
- Register with Easyfundraising
- Download the Easyfundraising app onto your browser. Easyfundraising will prompt you if the shop you are about to buy from will make a donation from your transaction.
- Specify Holy Trinity Ripon as your chosen cause.
- The app will prompt you if a donation is available. You buy at the same price you always get online and Trinity receives a donation from any orders you place online with partner companies at no cost to you.
- There are hundreds of partners including Argos, Morrisons, Tesco, John Lewis in fact most major retailers….
Easyfundraising is free to use. The company you are buying from online make the donation as a thank you for your order.

SUMMER BOOST – 27 – 30 AUGUST
We are so excited about spending time with our BOOST children this year. Please pray for their enjoyment, their protection and their coming to closer to having Jesus as their friend.
HARVEST ADVENTURE 2024
This is another exciting opportunity to set aside some time each day for one week to deepen your relationship with God. 30-minute daily appointments with accompaniers / guides are available. You might think of these daily appointments as a quiet time debrief or a week of daily appointments when you can more fully savour and relish what God is doing in your life. To do this best it will be helpful if you can also set aside some personal reading and reflection time on each day.
A flexible arrangement will be offered this year to enable as many folk to try this out. We will be offering a series of appointments over one week, but there are two weeks to chose from. Here are the options:
- Five consecutive (daily) appointments on the 16th to the 20th September
- Five consecutive (daily) appointments on the 23rd to the 27th September
Appointments are available at flexible times during the day and in the evening. If you can’t manage every one of the five days then come on the days that you are available
We are also offering an hour of Quiet and Reflection on the afternoon of Saturday 7th September, 3pm-4pm, as a taster and preparation a little before the Harvest Adventure starts so we might a little time with others who are also journeying over the fortnight. This will be at St John’s Bondgate.
