CHRISTIAN AID WEEK – 10 – 16 MAY

Christian Aid Week is not far away now and Dianne Thew and Rob Ankcorn would love to check with folk that they are willing to post envelopes in an area they have delivered to before, or to hear from anyone who would be happy to join the delivery team.  No collecting of envelopes required, just posting through doors.  Thank you from the Christian Aid committee.

POST EASTER DAY SOCIAL!

Short Notice Social!! Chris Crow, has kindly offered to perform here at Trinity for a Free Social.  We unfortunately had a cancelled booking and Chris has offered his services free of charge.  It all happens on Saturday 18 April, in the Arches, doors open at 6:15 pm and the fun starts at 7 pm.  Everyone is welcome including: friends, family and neighbours.  This will be a completely non-faith event, but of course we are showing the love of Jesus by inviting folk!  Full details click here:  Post Easter Day Social  We’d love to see you there.

  • Meeting and studying with new people

CHRISTIAN AID CONCERT – 24 MAY, 2.00 pm – 5.00 pm

Presence is a Christian Folk-Rock album originally released as a vinyl L.P. in 1976. The band came together through the inspiration of the Focolare Movement. Before and after the album’s release they played at ecumenical youth festivals in Rome, Belgium, Berlin as well as throughout the UK, including at the Roundhouse in Camden, London. The musical influences behind the album include The Incredible String Band; Nick Drake; Fairport Convention; Sandy Denny; Joni Mitchell, Santana and many more.

ELECTORAL ROLL

If you are a regular worshipper here, and not already on the Electoral Roll, please consider joining.

The Electoral Roll is a parish-level register which allows baptized members over 16 years old to vote in church affairs. Being on the roll allows for participation in the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM), election to the PCC, and in some cases, to represent the parish in the Diocesan Synod. A new roll is created every six years and this last took place in 2025. The current Electoral Roll will be revised between 17 and 22 April.  If you wish to be added to the Roll, and meet the criteria, please complete a form and leave it in the box in the narthex.  Copies of the form are available next to the box.  If you are unsure as to whether or not you reside in the parish, please ask the Office.  Please complete and return your form by 22 April.  Qualification criteria are set down by the Church of England and shown on the application form.  For those currently on the Electoral Roll, please inform the office if you wish to be removed or if you have changed address within the last year.  If you are unsure as to whether or not you are on the Roll, a Names Only list will be available next to the box in the narthex.

Week of Prayer: We have set apart the first week of June (1st – 7th) as a week of prayer to help us hear from God in the process of implementing our three priorities – Discerning and articulating a clear vision, Bringing the two 10.30 am services together and Planning for our 200th anniversary celebration.  There will be a prayer space in church available all week and regular slots to join together as we seek Gods will.

MISSION PARTNERS PRAYER FOCUS

TEAR FUND

Prayer points:

Pray that churches across the world will realise the impact that they can have on their communities. Ask God to give church leaders wisdom and strength and to bless them as they reach out to others.

Pray for protection for those who are marginalised or oppressed because of their faith. Lift up churches and faith groups who are operating in these challenging contexts and pray they will be able to continue serving their communities.

Pray for the work that church leaders are doing to respond to disasters and provide long-term support to their communities.
