COULD YOU JOIN OUR REFRESHMENTS TEAM?

A warm welcome can make all the difference! For many people, sharing a cup of tea or coffee before or after a service is an important part of feeling welcome, getting to know others and finding a sense of belonging at church.

We are so grateful to our current Refreshment Team, who do a fantastic job week by week. They work hard behind the scenes to make sure refreshments are ready, everyone is served and there is time and space for people to chat and build friendships. We want to say a huge thank you for all they do!

Could you help us share the load? We would love a few more people to join the team, so that the responsibility can be shared and everyone has the opportunity to serve in this simple but really important way.

You don’t need any special skills — just a willingness to help and a friendly smile! Safeguarding training is required for everyone serving on the team, but don’t let that put you off: the training will be provided and can be done online or in person, and we will help you through the process.

Whether you can help regularly or just occasionally, your contribution would make a real difference.

If you would like to find out more or get involved, please contact the church office at office@holytrinityripon.org.uk or 01756 690930.

PRAYER AND WORSHIP, TUESDAY 3 NOVEMBER, 7.30 pm

At this monthly gathering we come to pray together, for our future and ask God to lead us so that we might be in step with his exciting plan for us as a Church.

There will  be sung worship, a period of devotional time, prayer stations and an opportunity to be encouraged and prayed for.

There will be no pressure to pray out loud if you do not wish to, so just come and be together as we seek God’s presence and guidance through the next chapter in Holy Trinity’s history.

RIPON CONCERTS, 8 NOVEMBER, 3.00 pm

PICTURES AT AN EXHIBITION – LONDON CITY BALLET FILM SCREEN WITH LIVE PIANO

Ripon Concerts is delighted to welcome pianist Reina Okada for an afternoon that brings together live music and the art of ballet on film. The first half features a wide-ranging and beautifully curated recital programme, before the concert culminates in something truly special: a live performance of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition in its original piano version, accompanying a screening of London City Ballet’s celebrated production. Reina originally performed the score alongside the live ballet; we are delighted to bring this unique combination of live piano and film to Ripon for the first time.

‘She brilliantly captured the grandeur of the Great Gate of Kiev, the humour of the Chickens and the menace of Gnomus in Mussorgsky’s piano score for Pictures.’ Bachtrack

Ludwig van Beethoven, Piano Sonata No.8, Op.13 “Pathétique”

Holy Trinty Primary School are launching a formal consultation on proposed changes to their Admissions Policy for the 2028-2029 academic year.

They periodically review their admissions criteria and value the input of their current parents, prospective families, and wider community members in this process.

Please see letter here and visit their website for more information on the proposed changes and how to share your feedback.

THE FILLING STATION

The next Ripon Filling Station gathering is on the 4th of November where we are welcoming Lucinda Smith, author of ‘The Red Thread’ and passionate about identity in Christ to share with us. The Filling Station is an informal expression of Christian worship at Ripon Bowling Club, HG4 1QW. All welcome, refreshments from 7pm.

An exhibition profiling refugee stories. Highly recommended.

13 November, Andy Kind, the Christian ‘Promedian’ (preacher and comedian) is coming to The Pateley Bridge & Bewerley Memorial Hall. Andy’s shows are very much community occasions and this would be a good event to which to invite anyone you know who is exploring the Christian faith.

Doors open at 7.00 pm: just turn up on the night.
