HARVEST COLLECTION

A very big thank you to everyone who contributed to our Harvest Collection last Sunday. All items will be transported to the Food Bank operated by the Salvation Army later this week.  Don’t forget if you would like to regularly contribute to this Food Bank we have a collection box in the entrance lobby.

DECORATING THE VICARAGE

Dan and Kathryn have offered Phil and Bec some assistance in preparing the Vicarage for their move. Phil has a schedule when help will be gratefully received.

These would be good days to have any volunteer support from the Trinity family if anyone is available and Phil will be at the house between 9.00 am and 3.30 pm:-

September:

Monday 22nd, Monday 29th, Tuesday 30th

October:

Monday 6th, Tuesday 7th

Early jobs will be wallpaper stripping, prepping and then painting walls.

They will need to work around the schedule of works so some rooms will be out of bounds some of the time.  Phil will bring equipment and paint, a kettle, some mugs, biscuits etc so that any workers can have a brew break!! 😊

HOPE EXPLORED

Hope Explored starts at Holy Trinity on 23 September. Just 3 short sessions – come and see – bring a friend – ask questions – just listen. Poster here

SAVE THE DATE

The institution and induction service of our new vicar, Revd Phil Carman, will take place on Wednesday 12 November at 7.00 pm at Holy Trinity. More details of the service will follow.

MISSION PARTNER FOCUS – SCRIPTURE UNION

Please pray for:-

Pray for ‘Faith Guides’, adults who meet regularly on a one to one basis with a young Christian to read the Bible , pray and help to establish that young person in their faith. S.U. trains and produces material for these Faith Guides.

Praise God for the many Scripture Union camps, house parties and other activities held over the Summer months where young people heard the Gospel in a way that they could understand and relate to. Pray for those who made a commitment to following Jesus or who were encouraged in their faith, particularly as they go back to school and normal life with all its temptations.

Pray for those who write and produce S.U. Bible Reading aids for use with daily reading of the Bible. There are notes for all age groups.

Pray for Geoff Brown, supported by Holy Trinity, who is Scripture Union Mission Enabler for the North East and Yorkshire. Pray for his very varied Ministry particularly in Schools and Churches.
