Recent Happenings

Many of you know we have a very active Open the Book team working in Ripon.  The above is a still shot from the latest Puppet Show version of the story of: Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego that was sent to the schools in and around Ripon.  Please keep praying for this brilliant ministry.

And, we’ve left this item in at the top from last week because, although it is not until the end of March, of course, the organisers need to get some bookings in early!  This is a brilliant weekend.

Help Needed

Refreshments at Sunday Services.  Thank you to everyone who has responded to the request for help.  We have had a good response but if you are still considering the invitation sent out recently it is still live, just click here to let us know if you can help.  Refreshments Rota We will be sending out information about this next week.
 
Shrove Tuesday  We will also be sending out information about this too next week.

Worship and Prayer

This coming Sunday  At our 9 am Holy Communion and 10.30 am  services,  the theme is:  “Letting in the Light” Zacchaeus (not just a bystander!  The readings at the 9 am Service are: Acts 16:25-34 and Luke 19:1-10. We will just be looking at Luke 19: 1-10 at the 10:30 service which is All-Age.  There is no Family Church this week.  In the evening we have our Youth Service starting at 6:50 pm in The Arches.

Morning Prayer  We meet for Morning Prayer at 8:30 am Monday to Thursday – all welcome.

Tuesday Prayer Group We meet, first in the Coffee area at 11 am and then go into Room 3 every Tuesday.

Thursday Holy Communion at 11.30 and now back in room 3 in The Arches! Every Thursday.

Prayer Focus  We have left this prayer focus for just one more week as we had the sad news about the death of  Andy’s sister.  Please continue praying for the Walsh Family  

  • a safe journey to Florianopolis in Brazil
  • comfortable and secure accommodation
  • maintenance of good links with supporters
  • building a good working relationship with their partners in Vineyard church
  • God’s protection, guidance and inspiration in their work
  • and of course the whole family at this sad time.


Funerals  We have a number of Funeral Services happening at Holy Trinity in the near future.

Courses and Growth Events

There are a number of courses happening in the Diocese soon.  These include:

Introducing the Children, Young People and Families Toolkit If you’re interested in engaging with, nurturing and growing disciples with children, young people and families and empowering them to become leaders, this Zoom session could be for you. To book a place, please contact childrenyouth@leeds.anglican.org or speak to Matt

Spring Harvest  We understand that unfortunately the Spring Harvest event in Harrogate has now been cancelled.

Activities and Groups

Many of our activities and Groups have re-started and we have some new ones too.

Craft Club  
A new activity happening every Tuesday at 9:15 am.  The time is designed to enable parents who drop children at school to come and meet, chat and craft; but of course is open to all age groups.  Details are available here:  Craft Club 

Little Fishes  Our popular parent and toddler group meets every Monday at 9 am.  Sign-up and details about this available here:  Little Fishes

Thursday Lunch A wonderful opportunity to have a 2 or 3 course lunch, meet people and chat and a great way of bringing someone new to Holy Trinity Church.  To book in please follow the relevant link: Thursday Lunch 3 Feb and Thursday Lunch 10 Feb
