RETURNING TRAYS AND BOWLS

Please could everyone who took food home after Sam and Elliot’s wedding return the trays and bowls to church. Thank you!

HARVEST SERVICE, 6 SEPTEMBER

Your harvest donations will be extremely welcome, and we very much appreciate you asking what is needed. The list below are the items that we need the most. We consider meals that can be heated in a cost-effective way or used for a variety of meals in order to stretch a budget.

Tinned meat such as hotdogs, stewed beef, mince in gravy, corned beef or tinned ham.

Vegetables such as tinned carrots or garden peas.

Rice pouches, just plain rice is perfect.

Pasta sauce.

Custard

Rice pudding

Jam, either raspberry or strawberry.

Multipacks of cereal or traditional smaller boxes of cereal such as corn flakes or rice krispies.

Not essential, but packets of biscuits are always a nice treat if we have them to add to a food parcel.

Also, we are often asked for washing powder (gel, pods or whatever) and cleaning products, an anti bac spray or a multipurpose cleaner is ideal.

HERITAGE OPEN DAYS

Holy Trinity is participating in the Heritage Open Days event that runs between the 11th and 20th of September this year.  At certain times during this period the Church will be open to visitors interested in finding out about the history of Holy Trinity Church.  If we can, we hope to lead guided tours around Holy Trinity.  If you might be interested in helping lead tours or providing refreshments for this event please do get in contact with either Colin Benham or let the Office know of your interest.  We hope to be able to give full training on the key points of interest at Holy Trinity – which many of you will I am sure be interested to find out about.

Dear All,

I am writing to let you know that Alison Ratcliffe has resigned from her role as Mission Enabler.

We are sorry to see Alison leave the role and we are deeply grateful for all she has contributed during her three years as Mission Enabler. Her faithful service, creativity and commitment to the life and mission of the church have been a real blessing, and we thank God for all she has given.

Her last working day will be Thursday 27th August.

We will have the opportunity to publicly thank Alison at the 10.30 service on Sunday 6th September.

Please pray for Alison in this transition time and for us as a church as we navigate this change.

God bless
