ELECTORAL ROLL
If you are a regular worshipper here, and not already on the Electoral Roll, please consider joining.
The Electoral Roll is a parish-level register which allows baptized members over 16 years old to vote in church affairs. Being on the roll allows for participation in the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM), election to the PCC, and in some cases, to represent the parish in the Diocesan Synod. A new roll is created every six years and this last took place in 2025. The current Electoral Roll will be revised between 17 and 22 April. If you wish to be added to the Roll, and meet the criteria, please complete a form and leave it in the box in the narthex. Copies of the form are available next to the box. If you are unsure as to whether or not you reside in the parish, please ask the Office. Please complete and return your form by 22 April. Qualification criteria are set down by the Church of England and shown on the application form. For those currently on the Electoral Roll, please inform the office if you wish to be removed or if you have changed address within the last year. If you are unsure as to whether or not you are on the Roll, a Names Only list will be available next to the box in the narthex.

HOLY TRINITY SCHOOL
Last week we said thank you and goodbye to Mrs Sanderson as she moves on from her role as Headteacher of Holy Trinity Primary School. The gift from us as a church included a copy of “The Greatest Story Ever Told” a retelling of the gospels by Bear Grylls. Here is a message to us as a church from Mrs Sanderson:
Dear Trinity,
As I prepare to head off on my new adventure, I wanted to share a final heartfelt thank you with you both. Now that the secret is out and you know I am heading to Nepal, please know that I’ll be thinking of you often as I start this next chapter. Thank you for your kind gift – Bear will define becoming with me to Nepal! When I read his beautiful book I will think of Trinity.
I am incredibly grateful for the unwavering support you have shown both to me and the entire school community during my time as Headteacher. Your presence in our Collective Worship, your guidance, and the spiritual partnership we’ve shared have been highlights of my time at Trinity. Trinity is a special place, and the bond between the school and you are both a huge part of that.
Please share with the parish my thanks – their support for our pupils is such a special gift. On leaving Trinity, I’ve asked for Little Book Shop (Ripon) vouchers so I can take a library of stories with me on my travels to donate to the project I’ll be working with. Gill at the shop is kindly holding onto vouchers for me until the end of May, so if any parishioners happen to be passing by and want to “send a book to Nepal,” that’s where to find them!
While I swap the school gates for the mountains of Nepal, I take with me many fond memories of our collaborations. Thank you for being such a trusted source of strength and for your friendship.
I wish you and the parish every blessing for the future.
