Notices of Week of 9 January 2023
Open
Of course, we haven’t been shut, but all our regular activities events and services are now back in full swing. Please check out the “what’s coming up soon” and “services this week” sections below.
Service of Thanksgiving and Remembrance
We have a special service this Sunday evening at 6.30 pm. We invite everyone to come and reflect on people who have died in the recent or not so recent past. To give thanks and remember them with a thankful and reflective heart. We hope you will be able to come. Service of Thanksgiving and Remembrance
Discipleship Explored
This is an advanced notice. Starting in February and following through the whole of Lent we, as a church, will be following Discipleship Explored – a course produced by Christianity Explored Ministries. We are hoping that every House Group will be offering this course and there will be other times and venues when people can come along and join this course. It will be our focussed Lenten study this year. Full details of this will be publicised very soon – so keep an eye out for details.
Breakfast Club
One of the activities that restarts this week is Breakfast club at 8:10 am Tuesday to Thursday during term time. Please hold this ministry in your prayers. More families, we believe, will be relying upon this, so pray for: the volunteers; the families that come; and that resources continue to be found to make this happen. Breakfast Club
Oasis
Another event that re-starts this week is Oasis. Ladies, if you are ready for some wonderful worship and fantastic fellowship and a beautiful breakfast make sure you come along on Saturday at 9 am.
Messy Church
And also this Saturday at 4 pm we have Messy Church. This is another one of our growing ministries. If you haven’t been before please come and find out what it’s like. It is open to all, but especially suited to families with younger (primary) children – but there are activities for all. If you bake we would welcome cakes to be delivered either Friday morning or Saturday anytime before 4 pm. Messy Church
CAP Life Skills Course from 19 January at 12.30 pm
Our Life Skills course starts soon. For full details and how to book a place follow the link here: Life Skills
Do you enjoy walking?
Renew Ripon would like to introduce a well-being walk as part of its Monday lunchtime session, starting in February. Volunteers are needed to run this. Could you help? If you are interested or would like to know more please speak to Michelle.
