Discipleship Explored

We are really excited to announce that the majority of our programme for the Discipleship Explored courses is now set up. We have 12 groups you can join to undertake this amazing course. Details of the dates and times that courses are happening can be viewed here: Discipleship Explored

If you find that none of the 12 options suit you there is a link to click on to let us know when would be suitable. Please let us know if this is the case as we want to give everyone the opportunity to experience Discipleship Explored.

Some additional dates may be added to the programme too. It is quite possible that we will be having a men’s group and an additional group on line using ZOOM.

This Lent we are all invited by the Church of England to explore how we can live well with the mess of everyday life.

Dust and Glory encourages us to take a fresh look at the frustrations and failings that every day brings and, rather than pretending we can always avoid them, seek to learn from them and grow closer to God through them. Full details can be viewed on the Church of England web site but we can order these in bulk to get a discount price of £1.75 (or maybe even less if lots of people want them).

If you would like a copy of this please click here: Yes Please

We need to know by next Monday 30 Jan at the latest.

CAP Life Skills Course starts Thursday 2 February at 12.30 pm

Our Life Skills course starts 2 February. For full details and how to book a place follow the link here: Life Skills Please let others know about this and invite them to join. If you are not sure about what this is all about, follow the link for lots of information.

Hang Out

Our Youth Group for school year 6 to 9 children re-starts this week. Matt and his very small team of volunteers could do with some support. If we could get one or two new adults to help we could then spread the load on the existing team. You don’t need to have experience of working with young people, although this of course would be welcomed, we just need a couple of additional faces from 7 pm for under 2 hours. If you feel prompted to help why not catch Matt or drop him an e-mail: [email protected] and ask him about it. We would be very grateful.

Mission Partners

We have a new Prayer Focus starting this week. We want you to pray for CAP, this is especially well timed as we start our “CAP Life Skills Course in a few weeks time. The latest CAP Prayer diary is available here.

But also pray for:

  • Holy Trinity’s Life Skills Course – for the leaders, volunteers and folk who come.
  • Financial support to come to CAP as they, like may charities, are finding donations falling as the financial difficulties become more apparent.
