Notices of Week of 5 December 2022
Sunday just gone
We hope your Advent preparations are going well and were able to enjoy worship at Holy Trinity yesterday (Sunday). We were really blessed to have the children from Holy Trinity Infant School come to sing in the service. Thank you.
Thank You for your continuing Food Bank Donations
One of the best jobs I have is taking your amazing Food Bank donations to the Salvation Army each week. Look at the amazing bags sorted and ready to go to families in Ripon
Friendship Café – History of Printing
This week on Wednesday at the Friendship Café (7 December at 1.30 pm) we have, in addition to the usual tea, coffee and amazing cakes, a speaker coming to talk about the history of printing. Everyone will be made more than welcome at this event. Please come and support this great activity for older folk in Ripon.
Trinity Tuesday this week too!
Just a reminder to keep Tuesday 6 December free if you would like to come to Trinity Tuesday. There is a lot to pray about:
- Our Mission Plan and the list of priority areas
- Discipleship – and the start of a new initiative in 2023
- Christians Against Poverty – another initiative starting in 2023
- And a lot more
It all starts at 7.30 pm.
Christmas Cards
We have once again arranged Christmas Cards, with the services printed within the cards. We want these to be used! Last year the people who went into shops and businesses in Ripon delivering the cards said how blessed they were by the reaction of the business owners. Groups of cards ready for delivery will appear on the Narthex Table in the next day or so. If you can deliver these please take some. If you have friends and neighbours or other groups you want to bless please take the cards for this purpose too. We have ordered plenty.

Ripon City of Sanctuary School Uniform Campaign We’ve been asked by NYCC to help collect school uniforms for asylum-seeker children in the county. They can’t go to school unless they have school uniform! Unfortunately, most schools have run out of their usual second-hand stocks because of the cost of living crisis.
There are two ways people can help:
- Donate quality second-hand uniforms – all the info on our webpage
- Donate money towards new school shoes – via our JustGiving page.
