Christmas Lunch – This is possibly the last chance you will have to buy tickets!

Tickets are on sale for the Thursday Christmas Lunch – which happens on 8 December at 12 noon. Ticket sales are going well, so please book now to avoid disappointment as numbers are limited for this popular event. Book here

Freedom in Christ Course Why not kick start your Advent!

We have a new Freedom in Christ course starting in December. If you feel you are being guided to strengthen and grow your faith in Jesus please consider this amazing course. Details and a sign-up can be reached here: Freedom in Christ. It starts on 3 December so why not use this as an Advent Study, leading into a New Year Resolution and then on into Lent!

Fashion Show with a Difference

A Fashion Show with a difference, a whimsical look at style over the ages; with singing, dancing and getting into the Christmas spirit – all in Aid of St Michael’s Hospice. Friday 2nd December at the Ripon Bowling club. 7pm-10pm tickets are £12.50 including refreshments and mulled wine. See Ripon Fundraising Group Facebook page.

Friendship Café – History of Printing

Next week at the Friendship Café (7 December at 1.30 pm) we have, in addition to the usual tea, coffee and amazing cakes, a speaker coming to talk about the history of printing. Everyone will be made more than welcome at this event.

Discipleship – 5 December 7.30 pm

Discipleship is the task Jesus left for us – see Matthew 28: 18-20. At this very important meeting you can hear about and contribute to Holy Trinity’s plan to develop our discipleship abilities and reach out to our community in 2023.  We want more people to come to know and love Jesus.  If you can make this meeting please come.

Trinity Tuesday is a week on Tuesday!

The Big Give

Some of our Mission Partners including In2Out and CPAS have special funding initiatives under the Big Give this year. The Big Give helps money raised to be match funded. If you are looking to make a charitable donation this Christmas please go to the Big Give web site to do this. Note there is a strict time limit on this and the match funding will only occur between 30 November to 7 December.

Charity Film Awards Was launched six years ago, and is the world’s biggest campaign to promote cause-based films. Since its creation, more than 2,500 causes have benefitted – gaining exposure, donations and volunteers. Have a look here at the entrants for 2023 which includes Jenny Ruth Workshops, Film Awards and if you like the films cast your vote!

Ripon City of Sanctuary School Uniform Campaign We’ve been asked by NYCC to help collect school uniforms for asylum-seeker children in the county. They can’t go to school unless they have school uniform! Unfortunately, most schools have run out of their usual second-hand stocks because of the cost of living crisis.

There are two ways people can help:

  • Donate quality second-hand uniforms – all the info on our webpage
  • Donate money towards new school shoes – via our JustGiving page.

Women’s Aid Project in Malawi Most of you will remember the Murrays, well Isabel is currently working on a Women’s Aid Project for Malawi – raising funds for sanitary products for school aged girls. For details and to donate follow this link: Women’s Aid
